Satan Theology

On my travels around I occationally run into "Satan Theology." Instead of focusing on Jesus, and ascribing to him all the honor and power that is due him, we find some "Christians" ascribing much of what is rightfully due Jesus to Satan instead. This is the "Bad News," (pardon the pun) and it requires a rebuttal, which I usually give in person.

Our strategy here is to go over each scripture reference used to support "Devil Theology" and show what the Bible says about Satan, and in so doing rebuke his hold on certain areas of the Church at large.

Was Satan a Gardian Cherub?

One of the first issues that must be dealt with is an understanding of

Was Satan cast out of Heaven? Nope

Is Satan God of this World? Nope

Was Satan responsible for Job's problems? Nope

Was Satan responsible for human sin? Nope

Can Satan be a messenger of God? Yep

Does Satan work for Christians? Yep
